Celebrating NSF for Safeguard Anti-Slip Flooring

If you are of a certain age, the term NSF may take you back to that time when you wrote a check and promptly forgot about it, resulting in the dreaded Non-Sufficient Funds or bounced check. Do not ask how I know this.

But, today, we at Safeguard are celebrating NSF! Our stainless steel based, anti-slip step covers, walkway covers, and ladder rung covers have been Certified by NSF International for use in food and beverage processing.

Food and beverage processing can be quite messy, with lots of spills making floors very slippery and unsafe. At the same time, food and beverage processing people need to keep things super clean and free of bacteria. So anti-slip treatment is essential but it must meet certain standards. Those standards are set by NSF International.

NSF International began in 1944 as the National Sanitation Foundation, developing the first standards for sanitation of soda fountain and luncheonette equipment. To date, they have developed more than 90 public health standards and over 30 protocols for appliances, food equipment, drinking water filters, and other products. Products that meet these standards bear the NSF mark.

Since safety is Safeguard Technology’s number one goal, NSF Certification on our Safeguard® Hi-Traction® stainless steel products makes us twice as happy – safe to use in any environment and, as always, protecting people from slips-and-falls!
