SAFEGUARD Technology Inc. provides Hi-Traction® Anti-Slip Step, Walkway, and Ladder Rung Covers for all types of oil exploration and drilling environments.
Six Sizes of Grit
Safeguard offers six sizes of grit. Super Coarse and Extra Coarse have become the industry standards for the Oil & Gas exploration industry. For less harsh, but less critical environments such as crews quarters, shower and locker room facilities, fine grades are available.
Glo Yellow & Glo-Traction® Colors
Photoluminescent glow-in-the-dark colors can offer extended safety for crew members and employees when darkness falls or power failures occur. Combine Glo-Traction® Colors and safety messaging to provide critical directions for escape routes on steps, walkways, and ladders in emergency situations. Our photoluminescent pigment is non-toxic, non-radioactive and can be recharged repeatedly during the life of the product.
Descriptive Messaging & Logos
Safeguard was the first to incorporate PPE Safety Messaging on our complete line of Hi-Traction®, and Hi-Glo Traction® Covers. Reinforce safety with universally recognized symbols, or text in any language. Safeguard also offers corporate logos to enhance corporate branding and reaffirm safety compliance programs.
The Safeguard Difference
Safeguard® Hi-Traction® Covers are manufactured in the widest range of base material construction including 1.2 mm (18ga.) #316 Stainless Steel, Marine-grade Aluminum, G90 Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel, and Pultruded FRP/GRP Composite (Fiberglass), Geo-Membranes, and Heavy-Weight Rubber Mats. Incorporating Fused Alumina Aggregate makes Safeguard Covers durable enough to provide years of Anti-Slip protection backed by a 5 year warranty.
One & Two-Tone Color Configurations
“Safety Yellow” is the most popular color used, but by incorporating a second color, a two-tone configuration can be created, calling attention to the leading edge. This will provide a contrast between the step edge and the back of the tread for easy definition and clarity.
Installation
Safeguard® Hi-Traction® Covers are non-load bearing, and are prefabricated for installation over existing surfaces, including steel and composite grating as well as solid metal, wood and concrete. Installation is accomplished using Universal Saddle Clip assemblies, Screws, Bolts and/or Adhesives. Pre-drilled or slotted holes are available to minimize installation time and costs.
