Job Title: Account/Market Manager
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic Sales/Business Development Manager to enhance our existing sales team and drive strategic growth. This role combines sales leadership, business development, and relationship management to ensure both short-term revenue success and long-term business expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, customer relations, and business development, demonstrating a balance of account ownership, strategic thinking, and execution.
Duties:
- Meet or exceed assigned quota by selling Anti-slip Safety products.
Continuously work with management to refine sales strategy to optimize efficiency and results. - Implements national/international sales programs by developing sales action plans.
- While serving existing accounts, and reactivating older accounts, one will obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales vehicles and other trade organizations.
- Keep management informed by submitting weekly reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory/market analyses/reviews.
- Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating customer stated issues, developing solutions and making well-thought-out recommendations to management.
- Identify business opportunities by evaluating prospects and evaluating companies’ position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
- Maintains relationships with direct customers and distributors by providing support, information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit margins and service and product improvements.
- Some Domestic & International Travel may be required up to (~5-10%).
- Coordinate and staff tradeshow booth with and without local distributors.
- Work with sales support personnel sending samples and marketing information/literature.
- Work with our external/internal marketing groups to create marketing plans for target markets.
- Assist VP with International markets as needed.
- Maintain CRM contact information and notes.
- Embrace ERP Software system.
- Forecast/Project sample inventory based on trade shows/ad campaigns/customer interest.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Meets Safeguard’s service standards in all aspects of customer service and interaction.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- B. S. or B. A. degree with concentration in Business, Marketing or Communications.
- Experience with industrial B2B sales, international experience is a bonus.
- Experience managing distributors and/or indirect sales chains.
- Excellent telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP system.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to day activities.
- Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Proven analytical skills.
- 2-5 years previous job experience in customer service, sales or sales support function.
