Product Innovations

2007 will be Safeguard Technology's 15th year manufacturing and marketing its line of Safety Covers. Since its inception in 1992, Safeguard Technology has grown to become the industry innovator and leader. The Company's sole focus has been the design, development and manufacture of superior safety products for the prevention of slips and falls.

Safeguard's family of products and product options has grown to meet the ever changing needs of the community. A short timeline of such innovations:

1992

Safeguard Technology is created offering superior Antislip Covers in 18 Gauge Stainless and Galvanized Steel base material construction.

1996

Photoluminescent Walkway Cover

Photoluminescent "Glow-in-the-Dark" is introduced as an integrated pigment, designed to last the life of the product without premature wearing.

1998

Pultruded FRP is added as a material of construction, offering a low cost, lightweight alternative to Stainless and Galvanized Steel.

2002

Flexible PVC (Vinyl)

Two major additions to the Safeguard Family:

Flexible PVC (Vinyl) is introduced as a superior alternative to substandard Antislip tapes, featuring a pressure sensitive "peel-and-stick" adhesive backing.

Pipe and Cable Covers

Pipe and Cable Covers are developed to prevent slips, trips and falls over exposed pipes, cables and conduit.

2004

Six Grade Options

To meet the needs and rugged conditions of ocean based oil-drilling platforms throughout the world, a sixth grade (grit) option is introduced: Xtreme.

2005

Architects, commercial and residential markets requested an expanded palette of aesthetically pleasing contemporary color options and Safeguard responded with a new line of Premium Colors.

In addition to these notable accomplishments, Safeguard also excels in offering descriptive markings & custom logos, the largest variety of sizes, colors and grades, intricate shapes and cuts, and the ability to bond its superior surface to customer supplied material.
